Success, a word that has almost as many meanings as the number of people who use the term. It seems that to each person it has a slightly different and personal interpretation.
Yet in the end for most people it boils down to some sort of description that equates to wealth, power or fame.
Errol Flynn, Catherine Hepburn, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Donald Trump, all are names that we equate with success.
It is sought after by everyone, yet has eluded most people.
Why? Could there be different facets of success?
One explanation is that it is hard to become successful. If that were true it would seem that a high price must be paid to get there.
Yet Names like Gandhi, Teressa, and the Dali Lama all list in the names of successful people and therefore belie that thought.
No wealth other than that given away, no power other than the love of others and no fame beyond the accolades we give them for being themselves.
Another more pessimistic though is that success is simply a matter of luck and some folks are just born lucky and therefore are successful by default.
A scary thought at best, but if it were so, how would we explain those people who learn how to be successful and then show the results of their efforts as being consistent with success.
Perhaps we have simply set the definition to unrealistic heights and the expectations of what we define as success and it has therefore become unattainable to us in our own minds.
Could success be as simple as any action or goal achieved, being defined as a success? Maybe success is just not giving up?
Maybe, just maybe success is simply doing something other than watching the world go by and knowing you can do it.
By any description you want to use you are living proof of success just by being here. Out of the tens of thousands of chromosome packets that all vied to fertilize that egg, yours was the one that won out.
Ask yourself... Are you so busy chasing success with no clear idea of what it is that you end up running right by it without even seeing what you are missing?

Literally, the statement is a fact of life and of human nature. People become so accustomed to a situation that they fail to realize the reality of what is happening to or around them.
Should they realize it, most will fail to act upon that knowledge deferring the blame with the battle cry "It's not my fault"!
Take a frog and put it in a container of water and very slowly heat it. The frog will happily sit in the water as it gradually gets warmer and warmer until it is too late and he dies, being boiled alive.
As humans with a brain that is beyond that of a frog one would think that our behavior would be different, unfortunately it is not!
We love to keep things just the way they are and are willing to fight tooth and nail to keep it that way, even to our detriment.
Why? Because, "It's not my fault"!
Admittedly there are the exceptions to the rule but for the most part the greater bulk of humanity is inclined to complain about a situation if they see it but disinclined to do anything to change it.
Take for example the simple act of trading away ones life for another person's money. We dignify it with the title of a job, complain bitterly about it, yet continue in our course.
Woe to anyone who loses their job, depression and gloom are common hallmarks of their freedom as they scramble desperately to replace those chains they have just been freed from!
If only they had a better education, knew so-and-so, were born on the other side of the tracks etc and always the littany of "It's not my fault"!
Think I am making this up?
Let me try something a bit more blatant. Look around you and see how many people are over weight. Guts hanging over cinched belts, waddling to and fro, huffing and puffing just to perform simple tasks.
WHY? Diets and exercise fads abound.
You can not turn on the TV or look at a magazine without tripping over a weight loss program of some sort promising you a thinner slimmer you.
Pop some pills, pump that iron, follow this simple diet and "you too can look like this!" Its that simple.
Yet still people eat and eat, do nothing but sit all day long on prodigious posteriors and then wave their pudgy hands in the air claiming "It's not my fault"!
I have traveled the world over and seen less on some tables than I see thrown out in the garbage by people leaving a fast food restaurant here in North America.
The truth is that if you are a common average person, in all likelihood "It's not my fault" is your battle cry!
You can whine and complain all day long but when evening rolls around you can snuggle into your cozy bed and sleep well knowing that you did your duty.
Blaming someone or something else for your situation or problems and that you did not do a single damn thing to actually change what you were complaining about.
Any person reporting alleged s.pam to any person, persons, or
entities without physical proof of said claim is guilty of both fraud and a
civil crime and may be pursued and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the
law. Further, should the said allegation result in any interruption of
normal business activity of the company and/or result in loss of income
and/or result in unnecessary expenses, a civil suit will be brought against
the complaintant for restitution.
